Fashion through engineering / Est. 2023
Meet Dré.
Engineer by trade. Fashion Engineer by choice.

I started Engineered By Dré in January 2023. Before that, I was a mechanical engineer. I traded the title for the chance to build something of my own. No money. No handouts. No connections opening doors. Just an idea, the discipline to find the right fabrics and manufacturers, and a belief that the way I see the world deserved to be worn.
I call myself a Fashion Engineer because I bring that same attention to everything I make. The fabric. The fit. The stitching. The details you might never notice until you put a piece on. Every workshirt, flannel, and pair of jeans has to earn its place in this brand.
An engineer’s approach to growth.
I grew EBD by treating the website like a system. I focused on conversion rate, turning more visits into orders, and average order value, helping customers build an order with more of what they want. Clear product pages, useful bundles, and an easier path to checkout all play a part. That is my engineering mindset: understand how the pieces work together, make the experience better, and measure what changes.
The point is the circle.
The people who wear EBD are family and friends to me. The ones who bought my book in the first week with no ads behind it. The ones who find their size up to 5X and feel seen. The ones who tag the brand and tell me what a piece means to them. Showing up for those people, fixing a mistake, and making sure they feel taken care of is part of the work.
What I learn, I pass on.
I want other people to make it, too. That is why I share free game with other brands, business owners, and anyone trying to build something of their own. The lessons I learned sourcing products, building a store, and earning a customer's trust should help the next person move forward.
Unseen Gears is how I take that further. We help other founders build the websites and email and SMS systems behind their brands. It is the same care I put into EBD, applied to someone else's vision.
Appreciate you,
André
If you're reading this, I pray you make it.
From EBD to Unseen Gears
Helping the next brand build.
Through Unseen Gears, we bring that same engineering mindset to other brands. We build websites around the decisions that help people buy: understanding the product, seeing the value, and finding the right pieces to order together.
The focus is conversion rate, average order value, and the relationship after the sale. Your brand’s story guides the experience; the numbers help us understand how it is working.
Find the next move
The Teardown reviews your store and customer journey, then gives you a prioritized plan for what to improve.
Build for conversion

Keep the connection
Email and SMS flows, campaigns, and ongoing support that carry your brand's voice beyond the first visit.
Let’s build what comes next.
The Give-Back
100 Workshirts Donated Every Month
Every month, I donate 100 workshirts to the homeless on the streets of Ypsilanti, Detroit, and Atlanta. With your help, we can take that nationwide. People who are unhoused deserve to be clothed in something built to last, the same as anyone else who wears EBD.
Ypsilanti is the city that built me. Detroit is the city that built this brand. Atlanta is where it grows next. Giving back is a promise, and wherever EBD grows, the giving grows with it.
